Maverick is a Unicron-allied Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
I feel the need...the need for speed! (Maverick is the topmost one.)

Maverick is a member of the Aerial Extermination Mini-Con Team, and a personal attendant to Nemesis Prime. Staunchly loyal to Unicron's goals, this assassin strikes silently and unseen, like a ninja in the night. Unfortunately, while he absolutely despises his teammates, he can't do anything to them, so he suffers in solitary silence.[1]

Maverick/Shade is a redeco of the Air Defense Mini-Con Team member Sonar, transforming into a VentureStar concept shuttle. He also forms the hilt to the Dark Saber sword, which can be held by any other Transformer that has 5mm fist-holes. This mold was also retooled to make Energon Skyboom, Lens, and Cybertron Mini-Con Ramjet.
