Jackknife

From MediaWiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search
Jackknife is a Unicron-allied Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Jackknife is a member of the Aerial Extermination Mini-Con Team, and a personal attendant to Nemesis Prime. Like an inordinately vicious magpie, he'll swipe anything that catches his eye, and he doesn't care if he has to beat the owner to an Energon-spewing pulp to get it. This puts him at odds with the stealthy Maverick, but Jackknife either doesn't notice or care how his teammate feels, so long as he gets his swag.<ref>Official Transformers Collectors' Club site members' section, Micro-Sized Online! Toys

[edit]

Legends of the Microns

[edit]
  • Air Assault Micron (Mini-Con Team, 2003)
  • ID number: MM-17
  • Release date: August 14, 2003
Released in the sixth wave of Takara's Legends of the Microns toyline, Jack is a redeco of the Air Defense Mini-Con Team member Runway: he is largely identical to the Hasbro "Air Assault" version of Runway, but uses transparent plastic with a hint of purple instead of opaque off-white. He transforms into a Boeing Sonic Cruiser concept jet plane, plus he can also form the tip to the Dark Saber sword, which can be held by any other Transformer that has 5 mm fist-holes.
He came in a three-pack with his partners Shade and Mad.
This mold was also retooled to make Energon Wreckage, Beacon, and Cybertron Sunstorm.

  • Rampage & Air Assault Micron (Multi-pack, 2003)
  • ID number: MS-08
  • Release date: August 14, 2003
The Air Assault Mini-Cons were also made available in a multi-pack with the Takara release of Rampage (Wheeljack) and Hawk (Wind Sheer).
All of the toys in the pack are identical to their individual releases.

Armada

[edit]
  • Air Assault Mini-Con Team (Mini-Con 3-pack, 2003)
The Armada Air Assault Runway toy implicitly doubles as the Earth Wars version of Jackknife.
A "tainted by evil" redeco of the Team released by Hasbro, this version of the trio replaces the transparent plastic with opaque off-white, the other colors turning predominantly black and purple.
