Hauler is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity.
Back on Cybertron, Hauler worked at Crystal City, until its destruction at the hands of his former teammates, who had been turned into the Constructicons by the Robo-Smasher device. Losing his friends sent him to the Autobots' side, though as a worker, not a fighter. His primary function is in the discovery and procurement of enery sources, travelling Earth for long periods in his search. He does have incredible physical strength, plus the ability to launch both of his fists from their wrist-sockets, which he can then remote-control to perform tasks normally beyond his reach.
