- Shifters are a Cybertronian sub-species from the Aligned continuity family.
While almost every Cybertronian is capable of changing shape to some degree, Shifters take this to a whole new level. Supposed descendants of the trickster of the Thirteen Amalgamous Prime, Shifters are chameleonoid even by their race's standards. They have the ability to take any form comparative to their normal size and mass—which even extends to other Cybertronians. Their rare talent makes them highly-prized spies and scouts.

Notes
- Nexus Prime is described as being like a Shifter at the end of Exiles, but since they were earlier described as the descendants of Amalgamous, this may be more comparative than literal.
- Though released long before the concept was created, Skyfall is described on his toy package bio in a manner consistent with a Shifter's abilities.
