This article is about the heroic Decepticon. For his evil second-in-command counterpart, see Scourge (G1). For a list of other meanings, see Scourge (disambiguation).
Scourge is a heroic Decepticon from the "Shattered Glass" continuity family.
Moonlights as the Shroud of Turin.

The elderly Scourge is a voice among the Decepticons for knowledge and reason. This voice is not ignored, and the wisdom of Scourge's many years is often heeded.

Timelines

Thankfully, you only need one.
  • Sweeps (multipack, 2009)
    • Accessories: 6 wings/blades (left and right), 3 yellow cyber keys
Shattered Glass Scourge was repurposed from a BotCon Sweep. Sweeps Two, Six and Seven came in an exclusive three-pack at BotCon 2009, all three being identical redecos of the Timelines Scourge toy available at the same convention. The mold is a retool of Cybertron Sideways with a new head, transforming into a teal and white alien spacefighter with yellow detailing. The Sweeps are armed with "battle shields" with Cyber Key-activated pop-out blades. Their wings can also detach from their ankles and also be used as blades, with both pegging into their hands, either with one blade in each hand, or with both blades pegging into the top and bottom of a single hand, forming a double-bladed weapon. They come with three yellow Planet X-style Cyber Keys with teal deco.
The original version of this mold was also used for the Japanese DVD-exclusive Noisemaze Mass Production Type Version and Universe Ratbat.

Notes

@BotCon One of the Oldest Decepticons but also one of the most Respected for Scourge has always been the Voice of Reason & Knowledge #SGWED

—Ojunix's winning tweet

  • A thread on the Transformers Collectors' Club forums asked how Shattered Glass Scourge would look and act. Some dork suggested the BotCon Sweep toy be repurposed as Shattered Glass Scourge, as Shattered Glass Kup is in normal Scourge's colors and BotCon Sweep is in normal Kup's colors. Pete Sinclair apparently thought that was workable.
  • A contest on Twitter ran on September 28, 2011 to write Shattered Glass Scourge's bio in 140 characters or less. The winning bio writer would be awarded a BotCon Sweep/Shattered Glass Scourge toy.[1] The contest ended on midnight that night. The following day, Kevin "Ojunix" Skiles was revealed to be the winner.[2]
