| The name or term "Hot Shot" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Hot Shot (disambiguation). |
- Hot Shot is an Autobot from the Aligned continuity family.

Hot Shot is an Autobot serving under Optimus Prime in the Great War. Young and impetuous, he's always waiting with enthusiasm and confidence for his next mission (so long as he isn't paired with Kup again). Perhaps he's got something to prove, but any leadership qualities he might possess have yet to show themselves. He also shares a special relationship with the Autobot sharpshooter, Arcee.

Transformers: War for Cybertron — Autobots
- Voice actor: Travis Willingham (English)
Somehow Hot Shot became corrupted by Dark Energon. Whipped into an uncontrollable frenzy, he drove around atop a dam which the Autobots had rigged for demolition so that the Decepticons wouldn't be able to make use of it. A team of Autobots spotted him and went to help, but he sped around, firing on them. After they defeated him, he calmed down, shrugging off the effects of the Dark Energon and returning to his regular self. Transformers: War for Cybertron

- Hot Shot (Deluxe, 2012)
- Series/number: 1/009
- Accessories: 2 arm-mounted blasters
- Part of the third wave of Prime: Robots in Disguise Deluxe Class toys, Hot Shot is a redeco and new-head retool of the Robots in Disguise Bumblebee mold. He transforms into an Urbana 500 sports car with a blue color scheme homaging Cybertron Hot Shot and flames homaging Robots in Disguise Hot Shot. He comes with two snap-on blasters which can mount on his engine block, arms, and hands, and can combine to form a larger quad-barreled cannon. The front section features an automorph gimmick, with the shoulders geared together with the head and the top of the hood folding up into Hot Shot's chest when pushed into place. His new head, aside from homaging Armada Hot Shot, also greatly resembles Animated Hot Shot, and features flip-down goggles.
Notes
- War for Cybertron-era Hot Shot resembles Generation 1 Hot Rod, and the concept art done by Hasbro artist Marcelo Matere identifies him as Rodimus. According to Aaron Archer at the BotCon 2010 Activision panel, the character was named "Hot Shot" due to "Hot Rod" being an unprotectable name. Hasbro later revealed that they didn't name him Rodimus because they wanted fans to see how he became Rodimus. [citation needed]
- He is named "Rodimus" in the non-canon short story written by Alex Irvine, and is also said to be a Wrecker.
- His Prime toy has elements from every other Hot Shot, which only further confuses things.
- As the toy Hot Shot is an existing mold altered to make a new character, so is his card art; it's a stock promotional render of Bumblebee with new colors and a slightly altered head.
