Flashbang is a Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

No, there's no reason for really juvenile people to snicker when my name is mentioned. None at all.

Flashbang is one of many power-enhancing Mini-Cons scattered across Earth. A member of the Green Mini-Con team, when Powerlinxed to a larger Transformer, Flashbang becomes a missile tank that fires a pair of direct-fire rockets. Lazy and laid back, he hates being forced into the war, not because he's a pacifist, but because it's too much work. Fortunately for him, his missile tank alt-mode can be aimed by bulks he Powerlinxes without his input, allowing him to sit back and watch. His brother, Failsafe, is his complete opposite, dedicated to the war effort.

Flashbang's Mini-Con storage panel was found in the Amazon, in a series of ruins on top of a tall hill. Following the defeat of Megatron, he and the other Mini-Cons returned to Cybertron and helped form the Matrix Cannon, Nemesis Shield and Vanguard Booster, giving the Autobots the power needed to destroy Unicron.
