Pious Maximus was an outspoken opponent of the Senate's practice of Ratioism, soundly condemning it at many Cyberutopian rallies. Much to the distress of his sect, he disappeared only to release a recording months later recanting his faith in the Knights of Cybertron. The cause for this drastic change in behavior was not obvious until Prowl and Chromedome discovered he had been an unwilling guest of The Institute. Shadowplay, Part 2: Patternism
