I'm not against the note (although it should really be turned into a template if it's going to be on more than a couple of pages), but a Marvel UK header really isn't any more redundant than, say, the Regeneration One header on Primum Fugae. (Whereas a header that just says "Generation 1" and nothing else is redundant in another way - there's likely to be another on the same page in the toy section, which again messes up section linking). - SanityOrMadness (talk) 13:32, 15 May 2014 (EDT) | |||
Revision as of 17:32, 15 May 2014
We should probably refrain from referring to ourselves in the singular when writing articles. Thanks. --FFN 14:20, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Getting Tense
Also, the Wiki standard is that fiction summaries on character pages are in past tense (a review of the character's whole life, which has already occurred from the character's POV), while summaries on individual episode or comic issue pages are in present tense (always occurring in the present each time you watch or read).--Apcog 04:09, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Generation 1
Excuse me, but those characters appear in several series continuities so I thought it would be helpful to clearly show what continuities those sections are from. Also, Jackpot requested that we use 'Dreamwave Generation 1 comics continuity' due to the fact we also use the generic 'Dreamwave comics continuity' for Armada and Energon characters. I'm all for making it easier for the average visitor to figure things out, and not remove things because 'its obvious' or 'we all already know that' or 'there's a single line of text indicating this all the way on the top of the page'. --FFN 06:51, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- I remember Jackpot's suggestion. I thought it was wrong then, and I said so. Walky agreed with me, so the matter is hardly settled in favor of adding the G1s everywhere. Having "Generation 1 continuity family" in the title bars at the top of the page makes it clear what the following title bars are referring to, just like having Arcee (G1) at the top of the page makes it clear which version of Arcee we're talking about for the rest of the article. The average visitor is not an idiot, and should be able to understand this through common sense. The only place where G1 labels should be necessary to avoid confusion are where a character crosses continuity families, such as Unicron's heralds in Armada's Worlds Collide. --Xaaron 14:49, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Classics/G1 requests?
Psst. Any chance of you being able to fill in the Classics part of G1 Cliffjumper's page at some point? His TFCC section is pretty complete other than that. :>
Also, my offer to reformat for you any "normal language" writeup you do for Rewind's page remains open. --Jeysie 22:47, 13 April 2010 (EDT)
- I needed a break after my Headmasters run, but I'll be getting back in the game soon. --Xaaron 23:02, 13 April 2010 (EDT)
- No problem, I was just taking stock of my own stuff and remembered I wanted to request that. --Jeysie 23:28, 13 April 2010 (EDT)
Armada Minicons
Has anyone mentioned recently that you're awesome for tackling those? --abates 21:26, 31 May 2010 (EDT)
Roulette
Starfield is actually right. The page has to be moved to maintain the article history. -- SFH 11:06, 12 October 2010 (EDT)
WOH Lyzack
If you have access to the material, I've heard that Lyzack received a color scheme in the recent FunPub comics. Could you add a note or an image to her article about it? Geewunling 11:24, 20 December 2010 (EST)
- Basically, she's Leozack with lipstick. No new color scheme. --Xaaron 11:46, 20 December 2010 (EST)
- That would be worth of a note, considering we only ever have seen Lyzack in black&white. Besides, that alone tells me little, since I wouldn't know if she has cartoon Leozack's colors (greenish) or WOH Leozack's colours (blueish), not to mention I wouldn't know her color lipstick. Geewunling 11:49, 20 December 2010 (EST)
- Putting aside for the moment that I find it incredibly creepy that you feel the burning need to know her color of lipstick, I'm sure someone with a scanner will put up a pic of her from WOH eventually. --Xaaron 16:20, 20 December 2010 (EST)
- So, there's a coloured image of her? Good to know; then I'll put up an image request. As for the lipstick, I enjoy drawing, am a perfectionist and Lyzack kinda is a fav of mine. Wanting to know peculiar details is by far not as creepy as the behaviour I will display if I can't do perfection. ;). But eh, thanks for the info. Geewunling 02:23, 21 December 2010 (EST)

Battle Cards fiction sections
Please stop removing them. You have been reverted on this multiple times. —Interrobang 08:09, 21 November 2011 (EST)
