- The Thing is a human from the Marvel portion of the Crossovers continuity family.
The Thing says it's clobberin' time. First on the list is his Fantastic Four teammate Reed Richards for not designing him his own mech but rather reusing that of his long time rival, the Hulk.

- The bios of the Space Mini-Con Team from Armada were based on three members of the Fantastic Four, with Payload taking inspiration from the Thing.[citation needed]
- A Cartoon Network press release likened Transformers Animated Lugnut to the Hulk, while Bulkhead was likened to the Thing.[citation needed]
