Khajidha, the term ''doesn't'' exist in the Japanese cartoon's continuity. Subtitles aren't part of the cartoon's fictional world. They're only a technical feature on the real world DVDs. It's not like the characters are walking around with a bunch of words popping up out of nowhere in the open space around their waistlines. It's a visual medium used to convey information to the audience, not a physical aspect of the cartoon's fictional world. Khajidha, the term doesn't exist in the Japanese cartoon's continuity. Subtitles aren't part of the cartoon's fictional world. They're only a technical feature on the real world DVDs. It's not like the characters are walking around with a bunch of words popping up out of nowhere in the open space around their waistlines.
