The Autobots and Decepticons fought over Clemency during the war. In the second cycle 1874, Megatron chose the planet as the location on which to activate the Nightmare Engine. Ultra Magnus directed his troops (including Shock, Ore, Cromar and the Powerdashers, and the Jumpstarters) to disable the device, and rescue Pious Maximus from an unspecified self-inflicted doom. Before Magnus himself could take further action, a squadron of K-Class Decepticons began raining down on them, including Fulcrum and Torque - the latter of whom was specifically gunning for Magnus. The Scavengers defied the D.J.D., causing a battle between the two groups to break out near the Worldsweeper, but the Justice Division ended up retreating to hunt down a more high-profile target. The surviving Scavengers subsequently left Clemency with Grimlock, but eighteen months later the fabled Necrobot would arrive on the planet to record the death of their comrade Flywheels.
