The Transformers: Monstrosity is the sequel to Autocracy, and continues where that series left off, with the Autobots dealing with their freedom in the very early days of the war. The Dinobots take centre stage, on the run from the law as they attempt to steal the funds to escape Cybertron, while Scorponok usurps Megatron's seat of power following his defeat at the end of Autocracy.

Like Autocracy, Monstrosity was first released as twelve bi-weekly 8-page digital-exclusive issues beginning in March 2013, but unlike its forebear, it was made available in print as a four-issue mini-series beginning in June, before seeing release as a trade paperback in December.
