- Simon is a human from the Dreamwave portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Father Simon is a good-willed but perhaps excessively frank Catholic priest that instructed Paul Charteris as a teenager at St. Michael's Seminary. He has a sharp mind, and considers Paul the exception that proves the rule—that humans are capable of adapting to changes in their world with faith.

The Transformers Trilogy
Shortly after the Transformers' arrival on Earth in 1984, Starscream, curious about the motivation of religious humans, went to St. Michael's and questioned Simon on the complexities of religion. This conversation was overheard by Paul, who tried to commit suicide after Simon delivered a frank assessment of Paul to Starscream. Hardwired
