FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder is an ally of the Lone Gunmen. He has spent some of his happiest hours in seedy motels.
Fiction
Hearts of Steel
Having teamed up with the Autobots Optimus Prime and Bumblebee to investigate Skylogic Systems, the Lone Gunmen were able to identify their chief suspect as David Simmons. Frohike called Mulder, who checked Simmons's credit card records and discovered that he was booked into the "Sweet Lovin' Highway Motel", though when Mulder went on to reminisce about the times he'd spent in similar motels, Frohike ended the conversation abruptly.
