Once Optimus Prime was revived, he led a team to Chaar to get the alloy back and use it to fight the Hate Plague. After a number of Autobots were infected, Optimus and Sky Lynx were able to recover the alloy. A Quintesson was able to coat Optimus Prime in it for his fight with Rodimus Prime to protect him from the plague's effects. The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 2
Notes
- The alloy is impervious to heat, yet can somehow be melted/dissolved to coat Optimus Prime for his battle with Rodimus Prime.
