When they found the occupants of Kalis fearful and uncooperative, Ultra Magnus and the Sparkler Mini-bots traveled beyond the city limits into Tyrest to see if the weirdness was localised. At the border, they discovered fortifications and a Decepticon patrol including Flywheels and Battletrap because, unbeknownst to them, Kalis was crawling with robotic zombies, and the rest of Cybertron was trying to keep them in. City of Fear!
Subsequently, the four Autobots returned to Tyrest to investigate the disappearance of Chameleon. They found that he had met his end at the old Jekka Amphitheatre, now run as a profit-making venture by the alien Zabra. When Ultra Magnus defeated both Zabra and his champion, Zabra's Decepticon allies left them to their fate. Deadly Games!
