Shockwave was digging up Predacon remains in a Texan oil field when Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Smokescreen turned up to stop him. The ensuing fight devastated the oil field, and the Decepticons managed to get away with a chunk of the fossil anyway. Project Predacon
