Terrorbot is a faction from the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Terrorbots (テラーボット Terābotto) are a series of mass-produced warrior-robots created by the Quintessons, and sold to whoever is willing to shell out a currency form the Quintessons will accept in the right amounts.

The Overcharge warrior-drones are the most recent model. Other models include Noisemaze production-type tactical bombers, six-wheeled Guardminder tanks, and Dropkick haulers.

Toys

Generation 1

  • Overcharge (Triple Changer Terrorbot, 2005)
    • Japanese ID number: 72
    • Accessories: "Heat rifle", "null gladius" sword, 3 missiles
An e-HOBBY exclusive redeco of the Blitzwing toy, Overcharge transforms from robot mode to a Mitsubishi Type 74 tank or a MiG-25 fighter jet. In jet mode, it features two spring-loaded missile launchers, one within each wing assembly.
Overcharge came with an extra decal sheet with multiple faction logos (including several totally new ones) so it could be assigned to different armies: Autobot, Decepticon, Quintesson/Terrorbot, "Ancient", EDC, and "Unicron Herald" (using the Blendtron sigil).

Notes

  • The e-Hobby Overcharge drone is listed as a "Terrorbot" on the packaging. However, the Quintessons sell the drones to anyone who will pay. A sticker sheet is included so the buyer can assign his Overcharge to different factions. One of those factions is "Quintesson/Terrorbot" indicating that the Overcharge drones might only be considered "Terrorbots" when they are used by the Quintessons themselves.
  • For years, the Overcharges are the only model of Terrorbot in fictional existence. Given the general avoidance of Quintessons and that the Sharkticons are infinitely more prominent as their enforcers, the odds of us seeing more Terrorbot models is pretty slim. The Beast Wars: Uprising story "Burning Bridges" would change all of that by namechecking three other drone-types as Terrorbots.
