| The Optimus Clones were created by the [[Decepticon]]s, supposedly duplicating Prime's abilities "down to the last transistor". The Decepticons set up a trap for the [[Autobot]]s on [[Zel Samine]] by sending out a false SOS alarm. Once the Autobots were where the Decepticons wanted them to be, Megatron sicced four Optimus Clones on them.
