- Carl Thompson is a human military general from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
General Carl Thomspon is a loyal soldier in the US military, tasked with the protection of a secret base out in the Black Rock Desert, Nevada, where scientists are attempting to create a powerful disintegrator bomb. He does not enjoy this assignment, as he remains unconvinced of the need for progressively bigger bombs. He sleeps with a gun on his bedside table.
