- Lunabots are a sub-group of the astro class from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Lunabots serve primarily as transport between Cybertron and Luna 2.

The Functionist Universe
In an alternate timeline, the ruling Functionist Council had come to an agreement with the Black Box Consortia after two milion years of conflict, by selling Luna 2 to them. As a result, the Lunabots no longer served a purpose and they were recalled, though one of their number somehow managed to survive his obsolescence chip detonating. He was later discovered and killed by the Functionaries in front of Minimus Ambus and Rewind while trying to escape the planet at a spaceport. The Custom-Made Now
