Fireshot

Fireshot is a Decepticon Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

"You! What are you looking at? Stay back!"

Fireshot is the archetype of paranoia being a self-fulfilling prophecy. He spends all his time gathering intel, to find out who's talking about him behind his back. The result is that his teammates are talking about him behind his back — they're laughing at the notion that he's important enough for anyone to be plotting against him in the first place.

His combiner partner on the Battle Squad is Vanquish.

Fireshot was a member of Soundwave's group of Neo-Decepticons at Fort Scyk in Polyhex. Counterpoint

IDW Generation 1 continuity

Fireshot was a small Transformer born from a hot spot inside the deceased Titan who colonized Devisiun. Windblade vol. 2 #6 Windblade caught a glimpse of him splitting off from his twin Vanquish when she was merged with Metroplex's mind. Windblade vol. 1 #4

After the Combiner Wars, Starscream made contact with the colony of Devisiun without Windblade's prior knowledge. Vanquish and Fireshot were chosen to simultaneously represent Devisiun. Windblade vol. 2 #6 They appeared alongside the Council of Worlds as other representatives were found and added to the confederation. The Will of the Few After Starscream decided to start a new holiday in his honor, Fireshot and his brother paid a visit to Starscream's quarters to give the mopey ruler the temporary gift of friendship. When Optimus Prime annexed Earth into the Council of Worlds, Vanquish and Fireshot attended an emergency Council meeting to discuss the problem. New Worlds Order The Council later met with Optimus to hear his side of the story. Although Prime insisted that his intentions were pure, its members unanimously voted against allowing Earth a seat on the council. The Medium and the Message

Vanquish and Fireshot attended a Justice Committee meeting regarding mnemosurgical attacks on several Decepticons on Cybertron and distrust of the Badgeless. The Committee moved to have Ironhide investigate the crime spree. 07:00:00

Generation 1

• Battle Squad (Micromaster Combiner Squad, 1990)

Fireshot transforms into the front half of a SR-71 Blackbird stealth jet, which he forms with his combiner partner Vanquish. He can, of course, be connected to any other Micromaster Combiner, although in his case this makes no sense, as Vanquish is the only one he forms an actual vehicle with.

Fireshot was only available in a six-pack with his squad mates Vanquish, Direct-Hit, Half-Track, Meltdown, and Power Punch.

This toy was released in Japan without changes as the Autobot Fireshot.
