Dashtacker is a two-Autobot Multiforce member from the Victory portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
"My card art looks surprisingly like a cassette-bot!"

Dashtacker (ダッシュタッカー Dasshutakkā) is an important member of the Multiforce team. He also happens to be the background member of Multiforce. Strong and reliable, Dashtacker is also the least noted member of the team. Fittingly he is composed of the Autobots Dash and Tacker, warriors even less noticeable than Dashtacker himself. He is the perfect backbone for the group and makes a great right side to Landcross.

Dashtacker served aboard the Sector One base of the Galactic Defense Forces under the Brainmaster Car Trio. He got offended at the idea that his boss, Wingwaver, might be left on Planet V while the rest transferred to Earth. He went so far as to shout this at Star Saber who quickly pointed out that, before he was so rudely interrupted, he was including Wingwaver in the transfer. Everyone except Dashtacker thought it was quite a laugh. During a search mission in the Amazon, Tacker got stuck in the mud which helped reveal the Autobot position. Big oops.

Micromaster

After stumbling into the past through a dimensional rift, Dash, Tacker, and the rest of the Multiforce joined forces with the Autobots from the local timeframe. Dash and Tacker combined into Dashtacker to take on Decepticon Sixbuilders, but struggled with fending off the Decepticons when Berserker Sixwing joined the fight. Dashtacker then separated into his components so that they could recombine into Landcross and defeat the more formidable opponent. The Menace of Landcross's Combining Formation!

Victory manga

After receiving an S.O.S. from the Earth, Star Saber had Dashtacker, Wingwaver and Machtackle join him in battling the Decepticons causing trouble there. They battled Dinoking as Landcross. Magnificent! Our Friend, Star Saber!

When Star Saber was alerted that Leozack was terrorizing the Earth, he left Dashtacker, Machtackle, and Wingwaver stationed at the Galaxy Shuttle while he dealt with the situation himself. Leozack Rumbles Violently!

Dreamwave Generation One continuity

Dashtacker was one of several angry Autobots who were sick of listening to Prowl on Cybertron, after the overthrow of Shockwave. Luckily, Ultra Magnus was there to quiet down the mob, giving Prowl a chance to go off and get drunk with Ironhide. Skyfire

Toys

Victory

  • Dashtacer [sic] (Multiforce, 1989)
    • ID number: C-317
    • Accessories: Multi-Dash Gun, Multi-Tacker Gun, Landcross right fist, Landcross footplate
Dashtacker was always sold as a set in the Victory toyline; the "individual" version had both Dash and Tacker in a single box. Of course, this meant you also had "Tackerdash".

  • Landcross (Gift set, 1989)
    • ID number: C-319
    • Accessories: Multi-Dash Gun, Multi-Tacker Gun, Landcross right fist, Landcross footplate
Dashtacker was also available as part of the complete Multiforce/Landcross gift set. The toys are identical to their individual releases, though the packaging lacked the bios and Tech Specs for the "individual" members.

Micromaster

  • Dash (DX Micromaster, 2004)
    • Multiforce number: 3
  • Tacker (DX Micromaster, 2004)
    • Multiforce number: 4
For The Transformers: Micromaster, the Multiforce members were only sold as true individuals, one per box. As such, Dashtacker had to be assembled by purchasing his components. This release saw the original versions' stickers replaced with paint operations.

  • Dash Stealth Mode (DX Micromaster, 2004)
    • Multiforce number: 3
  • Tacker Stealth Mode (DX Micromaster, 2004)
    • Multiforce number: 4
In every case of 12 DX Micromasters, two were black-plastic "Stealth Mode" versions. Since the toys were in boxes that only indicated which of the six molds were in any given box, buyers had no ability to tell which two were the chasers. All six Multiforce members were available in black.

Notes

Foreign names

  • English: Batchtaster (Omni Productions dub)
