This article is about Trypticon's little helper from the Marvel comics. For Trypticon's little helper that became his chestplate in dino mode, see Full-Tilt{{#switch:{{#sub:Full-Tilt|-1}} != .= ?= .

Wipe-Out is a Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family.
"Lord Darkstorm will be most pleased!"

A lumbering, powerful Transformer like Trypticon has many important things to attend to (like destruction). When he needs some small task done, he calls on Wipe-Out to do it. Wipe-Out serves Trypticon with an astonishing level of toadying sycophancy, layering on so many compliments that he actually irritates the giant with them.

This small Decepticon's super-quiet engine lets him perform recon work ahead of the slow-moving dinosaur, and he is armed with a grease gun. One of Wipe-Out's duties as Trypticon's all-purpose attendant includes lubricating his immense joints.

Sometimes he is an ancient Titan Master robot known as Necro. As Necro he is a macabre creature who harvests and devours the living sparks of any Transformers he and Trypticon happen upon as they travel the stars spreading doom and destruction. As Necro he forms the head of Full-Tilt.

Fiction

Marvel The Transformers comics

Wipe-Out needs a spellchecker.

Wipe-Out arrived on Earth with Trypticon, who had been sent to directly attack the Autobots' Headquarters.

Trypticon sent Wipe-Out to scout for any possible interference while he prepared the attack. Wipe-Out encountered Rachel Becker, a human student drawn by dinosaur tracks left recently by the Dinobots. He brought her to Trypticon, who was delighted with the chance to destroy an organic, something he'd never destroyed before.

When Rachel tried to escape, Wipe-Out stopped her with his grease gun. Uncharacteristically, Grimlock attacked Trypticon to save her, but the behemoth threw the Dinobot commander against a hill. Wipe-Out then greased Grimlock's feet to keep him from retaliating, but the rest of the Dinobots joined the fray, and Wipe-Out was destroyed by Snarl. King of the Hill!

Wipe-Out's death didn’t seem to concern Trypticon much, but he may have just been distracted by Slag setting his head on fire. Stuff like that tends to be an attention grabber.

Wipe-Out is a Blacksmith

Wipe-Out is on the planet Troja Major when Anode and Lug arrive and witness the death of an unknown robot who was disguised as a coffin, where he subsequently helps them escape the Black Block Consortia, the robot's killers.

After dissapearing into the crowds, Wipe-Out asked Anode and Lug if they had also been summoned by The Grand Architect otherwise known as 'Techy.' He explains that The Grand Architect had requested the presence of a blacksmith and how he happened to be late. Unfortunately, Rocket and Scammer got there before him and met their end upon arrival. This leads Wipe-Out to believe that Blacksmiths are being hunted. After taking refuge in a bar, Wipe-Out inquires about why Anode and Lug have changed "reclassified" themselves as female upon being corrected when calling one of them by a male pronoun. After an explanation, he begins to tell the two about the Black Bloc Consortia and their actions over the past few hundred years.

Wipe-Out spots a Worldsweeper over the bar and the three begin to make a run for it, believing it to be The Grand Architect. Only to be stopped by Flame and a crew of The Grand Architect's men who are all bearing the mysterious gear symbol seen earlier by Nautica and Velocity An Axe to Break the Ice

  • Windcharger vs Decepticon Wipe-Out (two-pack, January 2012)
    • ID number: UN-27
Wipe-Out is a redeco of Reveal the Shield Windcharger for the Transformers United toyline. Sold in a two-pack with United Windcharger, Wipe-Out transforms into a genericized modern muscle car that's a cross between a fifth generation [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Ford Mustang|{{#if:||Ford Mustang}}]] and a fifth generation [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Chevrolet Camaro|{{#if:||Chevrolet Camaro}}]]. The front end is primarily based on the Mustang, including a trapezoid front grille inspired by the 2010 facelift, a GT hood scoop and a chin spoiler, while the rear half of the car is heavily inspired by the Camaro's distinct curves. The shape of the taillights, meanwhile, is also taken from the Mustang's 2010 facelift. In robot mode, Wipe-Out features flip-out "grease guns" in his wrists, which feature C joint bars that can be used even when the guns are retracted.

Notes

Once you go black, you never get made until 25 years later.
  • Wipe-Out was a comic-only character whose appearance was based on Tailgate's toy—not his character model, his actual toy, featuring chest details the character model did not. Artist Don Perlin has said that he was given toys from Hasbro since many of the Transformers' character models lacked art of their backs.<ref>Wipeout at Obscure Transformers</ref> Presumably, a gifted Tailgate toy was part of how this made-up little dude was born.
  • Since Tailgate was a retool of Windcharger, United Wipe-Out happened. Toy gods, we are eternally grateful.
