Klaus Scherwinski is a German artist. He really likes Wheelie! He actually had the idea for Spotlight: Wheelie and pitched it to Chris Ryall, and the two of them then decided to have Simon Furman help flesh out the story. The whole communication between Scherwinski and Furman occurred via e-mail, and the two of them never met each other in person until 2012.

One of the first comics his father bought him when Klaus was still a child was an issue of G.I. Joe, drawn by Andrew Wildman. Scherwinski now owns an original artwork page from that issue.
