The name or term "Motormaster" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Motormaster (disambiguation).
Motormaster is a Decepticon Stunticon from the Aligned continuity family.
"I am the Motormaster, and you will obey me."

Motormaster has a very simple goal: to be the king of the road. Very simple. Some might argue "simple to the point of stupid". His ambitions don't seem to get much higher than that, and just what exactly "king of the road" entails is similarly vague. What is certain though is that it involves smashing anything in his way, smashing anything that annoys him, and just generally smashing things. And this hulking semi has the muscle to do so with ease.

The leader of the Stunticons, Motormaster leads primarily through threats of violence followed by violence. His subordinates are scared oil-less of him, which is close to loyalty, but not quite. When even his conisderable strength isn't enough to get the smashing done, he can combine with his lackeys to form the walking demolition derby Menasor.

If we control this planet's roads, we control this planet. I'm sick of these humans and Autobots gettin' in our business. It's time to show 'em we're serious.

"This is useless in your hands...you have moral scruples."

After Heatseeker found a device which could help track Cybertronian tech, he reported back to Motormaster. Though not exactly happy with the failure of Heatseeker's assigned mission, Motormaster accepted the device, plotting to stock up on tech to help the Stunticons control the roads of Earth. King of the Hill (Part 2) Drag Strip later managed to acquire the device so that he and Wildbreak could get in Motormaster's good graces.Bee Cool

Drag Strip presented a Gravitic Adjuster to Motormaster that he tested on Wildbreak before Motormaster called his minion off and promptly sent him to stir up some trouble to show Autobots and humans alike that the Stunticons meant business. The Great Divide As Heatseeker, Drag Strip, Wildbreak, and Slashmark raced in the Crown City Grand Prix, Drag Strip thought about keeping the title of "Ruler of the Roads" to himself; Wildbreak replied that Motormaster would most likely run Drag Strip over, back up, and run him over again. Disordered Personalities

When his subordinate Stunticons were on a mission to clear the humans off of the roads of Star Visitor Estates, Motormaster unexpectedly joined them, declaring that he was dissatisfied with their performance at taking over Earth's roads and, therefore, he would show them how things were done himself. The Golden Knight

"I have too few worthy opponents. When they've gone I always miss them."

Accompanying the Stunticons on a road-claiming mission, Motormaster boasted that no vehicles on Earth were faster than the Stunticons - just in time for a maglev train to pass them. Declaring that he would not abide anything being faster than him, he ordered the Stunticons to retrieve its engine. After they were thwarted by the Bee Team, he answered Drag Strip's offer of "making it up to him somehow" by declaring he had many ideas for how they could do so. Railroad Rage

Transformers: War for Cybertron (DS)

"We have them now, but beware. The Autobots are never more dangerous than when the odds are against them."
Voice actor: Fred Tatasciore (English)

Motormaster was responsible for a strange signal coming from the collapsing sewers, prompting the Decepticons to investigate just what was going on down there. After watching them trash the sewer system, he decided that they were his kind of robots... but there was going to be a rumble anyway! Motormaster put up a pretty good fight, but after the Decepticons bested him, he offered his services as a terrorist to their cause. War for Cybertron — Autobots/Decepticons

Motormaster is an unlockable character for the Nintendo DS version of War for Cybertron, gained by defeating him in Sewers 6 in Arena mode. On the Decepticon version he can replace any of the other Decepticons in the campaign mode.

Robots in Disguise (2015)

"Now then, citizens of the roads; please attend carefully!"
  • Menasor (Team Combiner, 2017)
    • Accessories: Sword
Released as part of the Menasor set, Motormaster transforms from a futuristic truck into a non-poseable robot (with his swiveling lower legs as his only poseable part), or into the upper torso of the gestalt. As a torso, Motormaster can swap arms from legs from various Team Combiner sets like Galvatronus, although he can only swap arms with Strongarm and Sideswipe.

Notes

  • Motormaster is playable in both the Autobot and Decepticon versions of the War for Cybertron games for the DS. He can be used only for multiplayer, bonus missions and Arena mode in the Autobot version, and multiplayer, Arena mode, and campaign in the Decepticon version.
  • In the game credits, Motormaster's name is capitalized as "MotorMaster" for reasons unknown.
  • Motormaster's show model uses a standard head with a box-like protrusion behind it. This calls back to the original Generation 1 toy and differs from the box head of the Generation 1 cartoon. The toy, on the other hand, depicts him with a box head.
