Unexpectedly, [[Garrison Kreiger]] activated the [[Talisman (G1)|Talisman]] which revealed his true identity as "Merklynn" and created the alien city of [[New Prysmos]] within Cybertron's underground. I don't see the resemblance, personally.

Upon ascending to leadership of the unified post-war Republic of Cybertron, Starscream established the Cybertronian Security Force as Cybertron's law enforcement body. The CSF includes the Badgeless, Starscream's secret police.

More recently in response to allegations of corruption, Ironhide took the reins of leadership of the CSF.

Fiction

IDW Generation 1 continuity

The CSF began life as the Badgeless a secret police hired guns an elite task force organized by Starscream to keep peace on the chaotic post-war Cybertron. Windblade vol. 1 #3 Severe allegations of corruption however turned the public against the Badgeless with many hiring I.H. Cybertronian Securities, a private security firm run by Ironhide, to keep them safe. 07:00:00 In response to this, the Council of Worlds placed Ironhide in command of the CSF. Applicable Skills Ironhide immediately began expanding the CSF, recruiting ordinary citizens into the force. Things We Said We'd Never Do

The CSF had a trial by fire when Bruticus began rampaging through Iacon. They were less than successful in fighting the combiner. The Line Between Us They didn't fare much better against the revived Sentinel Prime either. The Last Autobot

When Sentinel's undead Titan army invaded Cybertron, the CSF evacuated civilians before they engaged the undead. Ping The fight did not go well and the CSF soon began evacuating civilians off the planet. Desperate Times

Sometime after returning to Cybertron, Thundercracker & Buster Save the World Sunstreaker came to command a high post in the CSF. First Strike #3

When Earth was formally inducted into the Council of Worlds, the CSF coordinated security with G.I. Joe. When the Red Shadows swarmed across Iacon, Ironhide gave the approval for the CSF to use lethal force. First Strike #1 After learning the attack was a ruse perpetrated by Joe Colton, Starscream sent Ironhide and Sunstreaker underground to kill the human only for his booby trap to incapacitate Ironhide's squad with Colton personally downing Sunstreaker. First Strike #4
