Power bonds are a from the Beast Era portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Used to house captives, power bonds are restraining devices used by both the Maximals and Predacons. They release some form of energy which restrains a Transformer.

After the Tripredacus Council blew up her ship with her onboard for failing a mission and becoming nothing but a liability to them, Descent into Evil Flamewar was presumably held by power bonds upon reactivating while under the questioning of Predacons disguised as Autobots with her constant struggling being nothing more than a fruitless attempt at breaking free. Beast Wars

Power bonds were used by Ravage when he held Megatron prisoner. When he instructed his ship's computer to release Megatron the power bonds seemed to fade away, deactivating. The Agenda (Part 2)

When they were inadvertently rendered unconscious and captured after a scuffle with the first three Vehicon generals due to Rattrap's unauthorized use of a transformation enhancer, Optimus, Cheetor and Blackarachnia were taken with him to the Council Citadel and held captive restrained in power bonds before Megatron himself while still in their beast modes.
