The inhibitor/deterrence chip (I/D chip for short) is an evolution of the deterrence chip. While containing the deterring and explosive power of the previous chip, it also possess the ability to inhibit the recipient's alternate mode and weaponry.

While in their state of confusion and weakness after being part of the Deceptigod, the Decepticons were outfitted with I/D chips and jailed in the barrel of the crashed Kimia Facility.
