Trax is a failed Autobot from the Robo-Capers portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Transforming into a locomotive, Trax always says "I'm getting there," though few of his Autobot comrades share his optimism.

"We're getting there" was the slogan of British Railways during the '80s. Trax's colour scheme also matches the blue and yellow livery on their trains.
Trax's shape, wheel arrangement, and number of windows suggests that he transforms into a British Rail Class 40, which was incidentally retired in 1985 (two years prior to the issue he appeared in).
