John Workman (born June 20, 1950, Beckley, West Virginia) is a comic book letterer. He started out in the sixties working in advertising, and broke into comics in the early seventies He provided artwork for Archie Comics and Star*Reach, the latter of which drew D.C. Comics's attention, resulting in them hiring him. In 1977, he started lettering comics and since then has been prolific in the field, working on everything from Superman to Spider-Man. He also served as art director on Heavy Metal magazine between '77 and '84.
