Animus is an Autobot from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
"Groundbreaker? I hardly know 'er!"

Animus is a member of the Ethics Committee. Ironically, he lied to get on it.

Animus served on the Ethics Committee meetings at the Kimia Facility, alongside Trailbreaker and Xaaron. He sat in consideration of Ironfist's new invention, cerebro-sensitive bullets that used onboard computers to ensure a killshot to the head with every pull of the trigger. Bullets Animus was still at Kimia when it was raided by Cyclonus and an army of Sweeps. His wrecked bestial alternate mode was seen among the casualties. Lamentations
