'''Apeface''' is a strong presence in any situation. He's loud, rude, obnoxious, and intimidating to everyone he meets. He dominates those around him with his attitude and fearsome countenance. There's some debate among his fellow Decepticons about how much of his behavior is an act, a gruesomely effective psychological tactic to control others and force them to fold under his demands. Others just think he was built that way. Whatever's going on inside Apeface's cerebral-circuitry, he's not saying.

Apeface is a Decepticon in the Generation 1 continuity family.

Apeface is a strong presence in any situation.

He is binary bonded to Spasma. Sucks to be Spasma.

Fiction

Animated continuity

Voice actor: Dick Gautier

Apeface seems to be the leader of the "animals" under Cyclonus and Scourge's command. Or at least their spokesperson. Not that it matters, since when Apeface balked at a command to rip off his own head, Cyclonus pimp-slapped him and said "You will do as I say, or you will die!" Not way up there in the Decepticon hierarchy, Apeface is.

One of the many confusing glitches in Rebirth is the fact that, while Spasma is clearly designed to transform into both the robot and ape heads, Apeface retains his ape mode head even when Spasma is separated from him.

Headmasters

Headmasters manga continuity

Marvel Comics continuity

Apeface isn't quite willing to rip off his own arm and beat you to death with it, but he's also not one to ignore an opportunity when it presents itself. Cold War!

Apeface's ruined form was seen among the dead after Unicron attacked Cybertron.

Blackthorne Transformers in 3D continuity
