Convobat tracks down his brother in arms Megalligator.
Synopsis
In a jungle somewhere, Convobat, hunting down his wayward friend Megalligator, spots him near a crashed vessel he assumes has been used by the Decepticon as a lab. Megalligator swings out his tail to attack his fellow clone and both transform to prepare for a fight. Megalligator expresses surprise that Convobat managed to escape from Straxus's fortress, but wonders why he isn't meeting his "father" as he said he would. Convobat says he has a bigger priority at the moment, but, before he can explain, the two are interrupted by Bruticus. The hellhound was sent by Straxus to annihilate his treacherous creations. Bruticus turns out to be yet another one of Straxus's clone creations—this time three fused into one. Megalligator proposes a truce to Convobat till they can deal with the would-be assassin.
Convobat accepts his friend's offer and summons Ape X Arms, who helps by blasting off Bruticus's extra limbs. Megalligator shows off his special power—telekinesis over machines—by controlling nearby transtectors to attack Bruticus, but the trinity powers himself up and easily disposes of the "headless soldiers" and stabs Megalligator with his daggers. Megalligator, realizing that Bruticus has a shield against his telekinesis, spots his weakness. He uses a spark circuit to control the power of his three heads; they cannot be removed from his body like his opponents. Convobat takes the opportunity and slices through Bruticus's heads, but the assassin has a final surprise, which he demonstrates by having his body self-destruct in an attempt to take down his targets.
Convobat and Megalligator manage to survive by the latter using his spare transtectors as a makeshift shield. Megalligator moans as he finally reveals his plan: to kill Megatron, the source of evil, in all universes. He extends his hand to Convobat to join, but the Autobot denies his offer. He instead offers his current priority: to literally knock some sense into his errant friend. The battle tires out the both of them and they collapse into unconsciousness. Convobat is later awakened by Ape X Arms, and sees that Megalligator is nowhere to be seen. He decides to venture into the mysterious vessel, where he sees a sleeping blue giant...

Notes
- The identity of the jungle is unrevealed, but Convobat's function as "Amazon Warrior" hints it is the Amazon rainforest.
- The spare transtectors Megalligator uses are based on Galvatron's, Hardhead's, Brainstorm's, Weirdwolf's, Highbrow's, and Chromedome's, also from the Legends toyline.
Continuity notes
- Convobat and Megalligator parted ways in the prequel story.
Transformers references
- Convobat and Megalligator's reintroduction to each other is done in homage to the "Optimus Primal vs Megatron!" pack-in comic.
- When Bruticus powers up, his body changes colors to match those of his preliminary Beast Machines color scheme. Also, his color-changing Power Up is similar to the Power Up that the Autobot Brothers received in the 2001 Robots in Disguise cartoon, which is quite appropriate considering Bruticus originated from that franchise's Hasbro toyline.
