Magna Convoy

Magna Convoy is a Warrior of the Seven Lights from the Precursor World portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
It's times like this we really regret burning all the ThunderCats jokes in the 2000s.

Originally a non-sentient drone created for combat support, Magna Convoy (マグナコンボイ Maguna Konboi) was infused with life by the dying leader of the Blue Order. The blue knightonium which adorns his body carries remnants of the leader's power. Magna Convoy's purpose is to retrieve the stolen Matrix Sword and bring the traitor Straxus to justice.

Precursor World

[edit]
He tried.

Magna Convoy began life as a simple Blue Order support drone designated MC11. When two Straxuses betrayed the Primus Vanguard and infected the Blue Order's members with programs that forced them to turn on each other, the hapless drone was quickly felled. God Neptune comic 1

"Please take on all of my responsibilities for poorly defined reasons, tiny child!"

However, by some miracle the drone survived, evolved into the warrior Magna Convoy and blessed with sentience and emotions by the power of his dying commander Blue Big Convoy. The first emotion he felt was rage. After making a promise to his predecessors to retrieve the Matrix Sword and meeting with the mysterious Soundwave, Magna Convoy assaulted Darkmount and battled one of the Straxuses for the sword, only to find that the blade had lost its power. He was nearly killed by Straxus and his allies before getting saved by a ship that teleported him to a location where the spirit of Blue Big Convoy appeared before him. The Primus Vanguard commander entrusted Magna Convoy with one final mission to protect his clone, a young Transformer named Convobat. Magna Convoy then passed out, and was later discovered and reawakened by Convobat himself. Cybertron Magna Convoy prequel comic Cybertron Convobat

After Magna Convoy taught Convobat about the Primus Vanguard and gave him the remains of the Matrix Sword, the two were attacked by Straxus's Rollermaster Corps, and Magna Convoy confronted Straxus again while telling Convobat to escape. Convobat refused, however, and instead came to his aid and returned the Matrix Sword, believing he deserved it better. Seeing Convobat as a ray of hope for the future, Magna Convoy was determined to protect him, and this determination allowed him to call upon the light of the Matrix Sword and defeat Straxus. He then departed into space with Convobat, and, upon discovering evidence of other survivors of the Primus Vanguard, vowed to recreate a new Blue Order. Cybertron Magna Convoy

Magna Convoy eventually proved fantastically successful, joining warriors new and old to claim his birthright as the leader of a next-generation Blue Order in the reconstituted Primus Vanguard. Finale

Legends comic

[edit]

Thanks to the spirit energy of the Legends World, Ginrai woke up one day in the form of Magna Convoy, much to his confusion. The native Waspinator explained Magna Convoy's backstory and brought in Delta Magnus from the G1 World for further elaboration, but he didn't know anything about Magna Convoy or the Primus Vanguard. Still dedicated to his job as a delivery driver, Ginrai borrowed Delta Magnus's trailer to make deliveries and was able to "Double On" with it to form "Super Magna Convoy" to beat back some troublesome Decepticons. The impressed Nightscream recruited Ginrai to play the part of Magna Convoy in his next Convobat movie, but Ginrai woke up the next morning back to his human self. Desperate to still be in the movie, Ginrai painted his transtector blue. LG-EX Magna Convoy

Additionally, both weapons can combine together to form a double-barrelled over-shoulder weapon. He also features two accessories that are new to this mold: the Matrix Sword, which was reused from Voyager Class Titans Return Alpha Trion and Legends Leo Prime, and the large gun accessory (called "Breast Claw") from Titans Return Mindwipe. He comes with two comics, "Cybertron Magna Convoy" and "LG-EX Magna Convoy".
This toy was repurposed as a temporary body for Ginrai after contracting Transformers sickness in the Legends comic.
