G Nebula 89 (G星雲89 G Seiun 89), also known simply as "the G Nebula", is a region of space which proved significantly important to the development of the Transformers' war in space in the early 21st Century. The nebula is closely tied to the Godmasters, who trace their origins there, and who later returned to the nebula to continue their battles.

After the Transformers' war moved off of Earth and transitioned into a series of space-based exchanges between Athenia and Chaar, the super-science of planet Master formed the backbone of the conflict. The Autobots and Decepticons relocated their Transtector program to the G Nebula, where both factions continued to construct more of the lifeless Transformer bodies that had played such an important role in the battles of 2011. Concurrently, the Autobots even sought a way to use the technology to resurrect the deceased Optimus Prime.
Things took a turn for the worse with the arrival of the evil alien energy-being and self-styled Decepticon "god", Devil Z. Seeking to create the ultimate super-robot lifeform, Devil Z stole eight Transtectors from the G Nebula, including the one intended for Optimus Prime, and spirited them away to Earth, scattering them across the planet. Already saturated with the Tenchōkon of the G Nebula (the "power of the heavens"), the Transtectors absorbed the planet's Chichōkon (the "power of the Earth"), and were eventually bonded to human beings, adding Jinchōkon (the "power of Man") to the equation, transforming them into the almighty Godmasters. Legends comic
G Nebula 89 had long been home to a factory where a computer created by the Oracle researched methods of merging organic and mechanical life, resulting in the creation of Transtectors. Thousands of years ago it succeeded in creating Powermaster Transtectors, but these were stolen by Devil Z. Bonus Edition Vol. EX
After defeating Devil Z on Earth and achieving sentience, the Godmasters rejoined their respective factions in space. As part of the Second Army, the Autobot Godmasters were put under Grand Maximus's command at the Transtector factory in G Nebula 89, which they defended from Overlord's Decepticons by the year 2021. Wanting new Transtectors, the former Decepticon Headmaster Juniors made their way to the factory by stowing aboard a spaceship, but were instead sent by Grand to the Legends Universe to be kept safe from Overlord's attacks. LG24 Shockwave & Cancer Prologue Brainstorm also worked on Getmaster technology at the factory and used it to fight off another assault by Overlord. Bonus Edition Vol. 39
Victory cartoon

The Autobots went on to form the Galactic Peace Alliance, dividing the universe up into different sectors that were individually protected. The Brave Hero of the Universe - Star Saber The Second Army, now led by God Ginrai, continued to be based out of the G Nebula, which in 2025 remained a regular battleground for Ginrai's Autobots and Overlord's Decepticons.
