Transformers is a twice-monthly ongoing comic series from IDW Publishing scheduled to debut in March 2019. The series serves as a continuity reboot for IDW's Transformers comics, replacing the Generation 1 continuity that ran from 2005 to 2018.

Overview

Set prior to the war between Autobots and Decepticons, Transformers takes place on a thriving, peaceful Cybertron that serves as an interstellar commerce hub. The era of peace is brought to an unexpected end, however, when the planet experiences its first murder in living memory.[1]
Creative team
The series is written by Brian Ruckley. Art duties are split between Angel Hernandez and Cachèt Whitman, with Hernandez illustrating the majority of the pages in each issue.[2]

Notes
- Transformers will make extensive use of toy designs from the concurrent Siege toyline.
- Initial promotion for the series stated that Hernandez and Ron Joseph would be the artists, but Joseph had to drop the project for personal reasons and was replaced by Whitman.[2]
