The Magnus Inquiry was an infamous investigation conducted in Room 113 of the Kimia Facility. The investigative committee, appointed by Chief Justice Tyrest, was led by Ultra Magnus (thus the name) and included Nightbeat.

Instigated by Prowl, the Magnus Inquiry was an investigation by the Autobot High Command into the fact that Gideon's Glue, the substance which brought such devastation on Flame's original troop on Babu Yar, had been created originally by an Autobot.
