- Energon figures are small power-enhancing mechanisms from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Energon figures are used to activate or magnify systems built into Transformers to give them special abilities. More advanced Energon figures can be fitted with special-function units to provide supplementary abilities in addition to their basic power functions.
Energon figures appear to be unliving mechanisms designed to integrate with their partners.
- Overlord's two Energon figures are capable of activating Overlord's multiple functions while in engine mode.
- Flame's Energon figure provides enhanced problem solving ability thanks to its analytical compu-unit.
- Gripper's Energon figure provides the dual functions of wide-sweep radar and sonic scanner.
- Lightspeed's Energon figure is equipped with micro lens photo-record equipment.

Notes
- To this day, it's unclear why exactly Hasbro decided to identify these figures as "Energon figures" rather than the already established Nebulans, considering the Godmasters, whom Overlord belonged to, had an existing Hasbro counterpart in the Powermasters.
