Sludge is a ginormous Dinobot! He doesn't seem to mind mad scientists riding around on his head.

Sludge and the Dinobots were created by Wheeljack as his own personal army, intending to use them against Optimus Prime, who had slighted Wheeljack in the past. The scientist mobilised them during an Autobot/Decepticon battle at Arch-Ayr, with Wheeljack riding on top of Sludge's head. Though impressive, even by Prime's standards, the Dinobots failed to live up to Wheeljack's dream... because they immediately started to fight each other. Despite his size, Sludge was hit hard enough that Wheeljack was sent tumbling from his perch into the chaos below. Eventually, he was among the eight Dinobots recaptured by the Autobots, and would later be brought by Grimlock before Omega Terminus, which gave him an ember and the ability to transform.
