Spindrift is a world known for its vast vapor oceans, where useful spume crystals, meaty vapor eels, and monstrous cloud leviathans can be found by anyone willing to brave the dangerous storms. Long in the past, during the First Cybertronian Civil War, it was a battleground between different Transformer factions who fought many battles over the spume crystals that could be refined into energon. Their battles wrought about many of the storms that now make Spindrift so hazardous, and the planet was eventually abandoned by both sides. It is now only visited by alien drifters who travel the vapor oceans in bloomships, catching vapor eels and whatever else they can make a profit of.

Locations on Spindrift include the Howling Blashie, a neverending storm zone, and the Realm of Wrecks, a veritable graveyard of Transformers who died during the war.
