- Scrapface is a Decepticon from the War for Cybertron portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Scrapface is a blue and red clone of Refraktor who is itching to fight the Autobots on the frontlines.[1]
He was presumably at the back of the line on naming day.
Toys
War for Cybertron Trilogy
- Scrapface (Deluxe Class, 2020)
- TakaraTomy ID number: WFC-05
- TakaraToy release date: November 28, 2020
- Accessories: blaster/tripod part, shield/lens part, chest module
- Part of the first assortment of toys promoting the Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy cartoon, Scrapface is a blue-and-red redeco of Siege Refraktor, transforming into a Cybertronian "artillery hovercraft"[2]. Scrapface is molded almost entirely in shades of grey plastic with his splashes of colour being an extensive paint wash; this gives him the appearance of being covered in accumulated grime and battle scars.
- As with any version of this mold, Scrapface can also transform into one third of a camera, allowing buyers to combine three units into Reflector's classic camera mode. The shield becomes one third of a telephoto lens, while his blaster becomes one third of a tripod.
- The military insignia on Scrapface's box has him as a Ground Division Infantry Private, while his instructions place him in the Espionage unit like his Refraktor mold-mates. Given a similar copy/paste error in the concurrent Voyager Class Hotlink's instructions, the box probably has it right.
- This toy, like all of the Netflix War For Cybertron Trilogy toys, was a Walmart exclusive in the US, and in Japan as a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive.
Notes
- Unlike the other Deluxe-and-up toys in the War for Cybertron Trilogy subline, Scrapface didn't appear in the cartoon, not even as a color scheme for the generics. While he may appear in the last two chapters of the cartoon, Scrapface's name and color scheme suggest that he may be part of the Sparkless, though this contradicts with his Walmart bio.
- Similar to Spy-Eye, Scrapface coincidently resembles a Starscream-based animation error of Reflector from the G1 episode "More than Meets the Eye, Part 2".
Foreign names
- Japanese: Scrapface (スクラップフェイス Sukrappufeisu)
