Synopsis

In 2011, Optimus Prime and Galvatron are plucked from a battle to another dimension where a mysterious golden entity shows them of their destinies: they will soon both perish. While Galvatron is raging against this revelation, the entity brings them to the Blue Planet that is under attack from an unknown enemy and its swarm of Novaroids, then imbues Optimus Prime's Silver Matrix with the "power of stars" so that he can restore this world's proper history.

Prime uses the power to upgrade himself into Star Convoy, a form he senses is a prototype of the form he will adopt in the future, much to the confusion of Galvatron since they were just told they have no future. Star Convoy declares that even if he must sacrifice himself someday, he will die with pride and a star on his chest, and destroys the enemy by combining the Silver Matrix with his gun to create the powerful Big Bang Cannon. The power of the stars then fades from the Matrix, and Star Convoy wonders if it's going to yet another dimension before thanking his golden benefactor, Primus.

Meanwhile, Galvatron salvages the wreck of one of the Novaroids, intending to use what secrets lie within to acquire the power of the stars and avert his fate.
