Fiction
Beast Wars cartoon
During the period just after the spacecraft had passed Saturn, the original Megatron inscribed a message on the disk, resulting in Voyager carrying his message into space. The disk eventually ended up on Cybertron where it was stolen by the Predacon leader Megatron, while the fate of the Voyager spacecraft itself remained unrecorded. The Agenda (Part 2)
Swindle's Spiel
Swindle, Swindle and Swindle had the original Voyager 2 spacecraft for sale. He'd heard the rumors about messages encoded in it, but thought that all that "DaVinci Code" stuff was nonsense. Swindle's Spiel, 4/10/2015
Notes
- The real-life Voyager probes were launched in 1977, seven years before the traditional date of the Transformers' revival. Maybe it was Voyager 6.
