The Artificial Suns (人工太陽 Jinkō Taiyō) are a pair of artificial suns. They were the site of a great battle between the ship Vic Viper, hero of the planet Gradius, and the forces of the Bacterian Empire led by special unit Gofer. It is unknown if any planets orbit these suns, but they do seem to be orbited by large crystals, spinning blades and most bizarrely, giant word blocks.
