The Skyfire was buried in the Franz Josef Glacier after thousands of years of disuse. Maximum Dinobots #1 Grimlock would later teleport to the ship, Spotlight: Grimlock after which he dug it out. However, it was incapable of flight, so he sent a message to the Monsterbots for assistance. After their fight against the Machination was over, the recovered Dynobots repaired the Skyfire and left. Maximum Dinobots #5
