*The story "[[And There Shall Come...a Leader!]]" lifted designs and even art from [[The Transformers (issue)|the first issue of the comic]], apparently to maintain a consistent look for [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. This may explain why Fusion is a straight redeco of Optimus Prime's Cybertronic vehicle mode.
*The story "[[And There Shall Come...a Leader!]]" lifted designs and sometimes even swiped art from [[The Transformers (issue)|the first issue of the comic]], apparently to maintain a consistent look for [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. Fusion is based on Optimus Prime's infamous [[:File:Optimusprimeg1marvelfirst.jpg|collection-of-shapes vehicle mode]] from that issue, though attempts by artist [[John Stokes]] to make said collection of shapes make ''sense'' result in Fusion looking like some kind of backwards-driving jeep.

This article is about the Generation 1 Autobot. For the Transformers Trilogy book "Fusion", see Transformers: Fusion.
Fusion is an Autobot from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
"I'm expendable!" Yup.

Fusion is a dedicated and selfless soldier, willing to make any sacrifice to protect his friends or the success of a mission. He is a notably gifted marksman, and enjoys testing his skills against those of his friends Bluestreak and Ricochet.[1] His vehicle mode, designed for combat, is not particularly fast.

Fusion appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.
We'll never forget you, Fission.

Millions of years ago on Cybertron, Fusion was assigned to escort Bluestreak on a mission to deliver shatter bombs to the Autobot military commander Optimus Prime. Ignoring his own safety, Fusion focused on picking off the Decepticon jets which were hounding his partner. A blast from one of these Decepticons killed Fusion, but Bluestreak was able to complete the mission thanks to his friend's efforts. And There Shall Come...a Leader!
