The Terrorbots (テラーボット Terābotto) are a series of mass-produced warrior-robots created by the Quintessons, and sold to whoever is willing to shell out a currency form the Quintessons will accept in the right amounts.

The Overcharges are a notable type.

Fiction

Generations Selects Special Comic

The Terrorcons, created by the Quintessons to exploit the power of Angolmois Energy, were the ultimate model of Terrorbots. Abominus comic 1

Beast Wars: Uprising

The Overcharge warrior-drones were the most recent model. Other models included Noisemaze production-type tactical bombers, six-wheeled Guardminder tanks, and Dropkick haulers. Burning Bridges

Toys

The Transformers

  • Scorponok (Headmaster, 1987)
    • Japanese ID number: D-93
    • Accessories: 2 guns
The Guardminders were repurposed from Fasttrack.
Available only with the large Headmaster Decepticon Scorponok, Fasttrack transforms into a six-wheeled assault buggy. His axles were designed for quick rolling down the main ramp of Scorponok's city mode. His two guns can be either hand-held or shoulder mounted.

Collector's Edition

  • Overcharge (Triple Changer Terrorbot, 2005)
    • Japanese ID number: 72
    • Accessories: "Heat rifle", "null gladius" sword, 3 missiles
An e-HOBBY exclusive redeco of the Blitzwing toy, Overcharge transforms from robot mode to a Mitsubishi Type 74 tank or a MiG-25 fighter jet. In jet mode, it features two spring-loaded missile launchers, one within each wing assembly.
Overcharge came with an extra decal sheet with multiple faction logos (including several totally new ones) so it could be assigned to different armies: Autobot, Decepticon, Quintesson/Terrorbot, "Ancient", EDC, and "Unicron Herald" (using the Blentron sigil).

Galaxy Force

  • Noisemaze Ryōsan Gata Version (DVD pack-in, 2006-06-21)
    • Accessories: Left & right wing-swords, Planet X Cyber Key
Available only with the thirteenth, final volume of the Galaxy Force DVD series in Japan, the Ryōsan Gata Version is a redeco of Cybertron Sideways. It transforms into an alien spacefighter with Cyber Key-activated pop-out blades and faction-sigil-switching built into its battle shield. His wings can also detach from his ankles and be used as blades, with both pegging into either his hands, either with one blade in each hand, or with both blades pegging into the top and bottom of a single hand, forming a double-bladed weapon. The toy comes with a Planet X-style Cyber Key, which inexplicably has Sideways' Hasbro key code stamped on the back. The toy uses the Hasbro mold with the trimmed horns rather than the Takara mold.
Despite being a "mass numbers" character in the fiction like the Scrapmetal, the Noisemaze Ryōsan Gata Version's price due to being packaged with a DVD (Amazon Japan listed it at 7644 yen, roughly $66 USD at the time of release before shipping) makes it largely unfeasible for army-building.
This mold was also used to make Universe Ratbat, and BotCon 2009 Timelines Scourge and the Sweeps. The Sweeps were later repurposed as Shattered Glass Scourge.

Notes

  • The e-Hobby Overcharge drone is listed as a "Terrorbot" on the packaging. However, the Quintessons sell the drones to anyone who will pay. A sticker sheet is included so the buyer can assign their Overcharge to different factions. One of those factions is "Quintesson/Terrorbot" indicating that the Overcharge drones might only be considered "Terrorbots" when they are used by the Quintessons themselves.
