- The Deseeus Army Drones are Quintesson drones from the War for Cybertron Trilogy portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
As their names imply, the Deseeus Army Drones are a group of drones that exist solely to protect the Quintesson Judge Deseeus.
Fiction
War for Cybertron: Earthrise marketing material
The Quintessons were one of the few unforeseen dangers ahead of the Autobots and Decepticons in their race for the Allspark. One of the Quintesson Judge's primary weapons was their drone army. Earthrise webpage[1]
War for Cybertron Trilogy cartoon
The Deseeus Army Drones operated under the Quintesson Deseeus aboard his Quintesson Cruiser on Chaar. Following Deseeus becoming just the singular face of Wrath, and denying Doubledealer pay, the Fool's Fortune crew proceeded to threaten them. Faced with the furious Mercenaries, Deseeus activated his Drones, identifying them as his army, forcing Doubledealer to stand down.
Later, Deseeus ordered the execution of the Autobots, having two of the Drones bring forward Bumblebee. However, Optimus Prime and the other Autobots fought back, breaking free of their chains with the help of the Mercenaries. In the fray, several of the Drones fell as the Mercenaries held them off while the Autobots escaped. Deseeus himself retreated into the shadows as the Mercenaries finished the Drones off. - Promoting the Kingdom season of the Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy cartoon (despite debuting in the Earthrise season), the "Quintesson Deseeus Army Drone" is a redeco of Siege Ironhide with an extensive paint wash coating to represent accumulated grime and battle damage. The toy has multiple 5 mm ports and 3 mm posts to accommodate the C.O.M.B.A.T. System/F.O.S.S.I.L. Technology weaponry and "Fire Blast" effects, respectively.
- As the name implies, this toy could resonably be used as an Army Builder.
- Deseeus Army Drone includes a huge missile launcher compatible with the C.O.M.B.A.T. System which can also convert into a hammer and has 3 mm posts as well.
- It is unknown whether Deseeus Army Drone suffers the same production flaw as Ironhide, where the molded hinges on their legs are too small to house the side panels from their vehicle mode properly, which causes them to pop off at the slightest pressure.
- This mold was also retooled to make Siege Crosshairs and Ratchet, differently retooled into Earthrise Ironhide, Ratchet and War for Cybertron Trilogy Shattered Glass Ratchet.
- This toy, like most of the Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy toys, is a Walmart exclusive in the U.S. and Canada. Like the rest of its Deluxe Class wave, Deseeus Army Drone was found in Walmart stores on March 13[2] before an official unveiling.
